Berel Lang Berel Lang (College of Letters, Wesleyan Univ.)
Berel Lang received his B.A. from Yale University, and Ph.D. (in philosophy) from Columbia University.
He has been Professor of Philosophy at University of Colorado, State University of New York at Albany; Visiting Professor of Philosophy at the Hebrew University, University of Connecticut, Wesleyan University. Fellowships from Am. Council of Learned Societies, Nat’l Endowment for the Humanities, American Philosophical Association, U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Author or editor of 21 books, including Act and Idea in the Nazi Genocide; Heidegger’s Silence; The Anatomy of Philosophical Style; Holocaust-Representation: Art within the Bounds of History and Ethics; and Post-Holocaust: Representation, Misrepresentation, and the Claims of History.
